B. Luciano Barsuglia Producer, Cinematographer, Director

B. Luciano Barsuglia  is a long-time filmmaker, photographer, surfer, and educator.

As a filmmaker, Barsuglia has worked as a writer, director, cinematographer, and editor on an array of independent films. One of his personal career highlights came in 2014 when he had the chance to direct Mickey Rooney and Margaret O’Brien in the same scene (both Academy Award recipients).

Barsuglia started out as a production assistant on America’s Funniest People, worked as a camera operator and editor at one of the country’s largest producers of infomercials in the 1990s; worked in film post-production with companies like MGM, UA, Buena Vista, Sony Classics; produced feature films and Television shows; has professionally worked as a newspaper/magazine editor, publishing more than 400 articles, and writing three novels.

Additionally, he founded the SoCal Film Festival in 2005 which he ran until 2014, as well as the  entertainment publication Influx Magazine from 1997-2017.
